GENERAL DESCRIPTION
CONSTRUCOLOR® Polymer G01 for mortars is solvent free and easy disperse in water. It has being develop to satisfy multiple solutions for the construction industry such as waterproof, hardness, abrasion resistance, flexibility and strong adherence to cement-based mortars. It may be used in any kind of plasters or masonry furnishings, floor tile, paving stone, roofs, to lay floor tile, flagstone, in general cement base or stones such as quarry, marble, granite, etc. It can also be use for preparing precast concrete that require waterproofing with a high-level of hardness. Avoid cracks and cold joints.
CONSTRUCOLOR® G01 is manufactured with state-of-the art technology, high quality raw materials and a strict quality control, achieving excellent performance and durability under the most severe environmental conditions.
The product develops repellence to absorb and release liquid water, allowing it to escape as vapor, eliminating in this manner the washout to the surface of soluble salts present in mortar and concrete, avoiding efflorescence or “saltpeter-whitening”. G01 is resistant to sunlight, outdoor weather and alkalinity, allowing permanence of its properties over time.

UTILIZATION
CONSTRUCOLOR® G01 is easy to use and can be add to the mixture at any time, whether disperse in water or directly to the cement and aggregates. G01 dosage range is 3% to 6% over cement and fine aggregates (mesh screen # 16) weight. Mortar thickness to be waterproof must be at least ⅛” (3 mm) or greater. The following table shows recommended minimum amounts for every application.
USE WITH OTHER ADDITIVES
G01 has not shown any incompatibility with commonly used additives; however, it is convenient to make a small test before using G01 with an additive for the first time. When using CONSTRUCOLOR® G01 in mixtures with any kind of concentrated additive as a caution measure it is recommended not to add them at the same time, avoiding that the products get mixed at a high concentrated level.

|
APPLICATION
G01 integrates to the mortar when waterproof, hardness, flexibility, adherence and abrasion resistance is important. In all cases, the surface where G01 is going to be applied must be thoroughly clean of oil, dirt, grease, any loose material or other foreign matter.
Mortars prepared with G01 can be applied with hand trowel, plane or thrown with a hopper gun. G01 Polymer uses less water than normal making a plastic mixture. It is recommended for the first mix of mortar to add the G01 and add half as much water as you use and continue to adding small quantities of water until the mix is fluid enough.
Walls: Built with blocks or concrete or polystyrene and polyurethane, mortars prepared with G01 have high adherence and minimal cracks, paints last longer due to his waterproof feature. Minimum thickness: 1/16” (1.5 mm).
Tile: It is use to lay tiles on floors or walls; mortar prepare with G01 ensures permanence and firmness of the pieces on its place base on its adherence and waterproof features. Allow placing new tile over an old tile.

Stone and Precast Concrete: To fasten quarry, marble, granite, bricks, precast concrete pieces, polystyrene and polyurethane pieces, mortar prepare with G01 allows to achieve permanent adherence to the wall or floor as well as a waterproof protection.
Adhesive: To avoid cold joints on concrete pouring, both at the same level or one on top of the other, apply G01 diluted in three parts of water, to the existing concrete surface ensuring the adherence of the new concrete to the old one.

Swimming Pools, Fountains and Cisterns: Mortar prepare with G01 ½” thick apply to the interior surfaces would waterproof them. It is recommended to pour walls and floor with concrete prepare with the CONSTRUCOLOR® W01, and to avoid cold joints just follow the adhesive indications.
Precast Concrete: Adding G01 to the concrete used for pre-cast concrete parts make them waterproof providing strength and hardness resulting in thinner pieces.

PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES
When mortars are applied to surfaces prone to absorb water, it is important to wet the surface up to the point of saturation to avoid water to be drawn from the mortar, very important for ¼” (1 cm) thickness or less. To avoid cracks in the surfaces, it is recommended to prepare the mortar with G01 and the minimum water required to make the application.

WATERPROOF CAPABILITY
With CONSTRUCOLOR® G01 is possible to fabricate pre-cast parts, mortars or masonry with the degree of waterproof capability that is required, whether under light rain or with hurricane winds or at certain high of water column level.
G01 waterproof properties develop once it has been integrated to the mixture, the hydrophobic agents and the substrate have a chemical reaction, becoming an integral part of the mortar and producing a lasting effect of water repellant, without creating a surface film. The water repellence obtained with G01 increases with small pores, on the contrary the bigger the pores are the lower the water repellence.
PACKAGING & SHELF LIFE
CONSTRUCOLOR® G01 is packed in 8.8 pounds (4 kg) buckets. Closed buckets keep the product in good conditions up to a year at a temperatures between 32°F (0°C) and 86°F (30°C).
